Aquilae Duo was formed in 2008 when Eleanor and Lisa first performed the Mozart Flute and Harp Concerto together. When Mozart wrote his Concerto for Flute and Harp, the combination of flute and harp together was incredibly unusual.
Nowadays, there is a rich repertoire of flute and harp duets from which Aquilae Duo have chosen a selection that shows off their technical artistry, emotional range and a wide span of music throughout the history of Western classical music. The programme represents a gradual awakening and a voyage through time and place.
