Junyan Chen (b. 2000) emerges as a concert pianist, chamber musician, and collaborator with a wealth of experiences across diverse musical genres. Her confident playing, characterized by virtuoso technique, warmth, and vibrancy, has graced prestigious venues such as the Wigmore Hall, KKL Lucerne, Brighton Dome, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Hall, Guangzhou Grand Theatre, Xiamen Concert Hall, and Takatsuki Gendai Gekjio, among others. As a soloist, she has collaborated with the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra, and XinZhu Symphony Orchestra.
In the upcoming months of 2024, she is poised for significant musical collaborations that underscore her commitment to artistic excellence. Scheduled to commence recording an album alongside trumpeter Jasmin Ghera, set to be released under the Linn Records label. A comprehensive 12-concert tour is on the horizon, featuring collaboration with accomplished cellist Hugh Mackay. Being a part of the Future artist scheme of Southbank center 2023-2024 , she will be joining the Manchester collective for a collabration concert in the Purcell room at the Southbank center. Additionally, she will grace the stage at the Lucerne Festival, showcasing her musical prowess alongside esteemed horn player Annemarie Federle. An invitation to a joint concert with the Connaught Brass at the Milton Court Concert Hall further solidifies her presence in the realm of distinguished musical performances.
