We believe everyone has the right to be safe from harm.
We do this by:
– Creating a safe environment to protect children and adults from risk of harm
– Recognising when children and adults are or may be at risk of abuse, neglect or harm and knowing how to raise concerns appropriately.
Safeguarding is everybody’s business. Everyone at Musicfest is expected to have a ‘zero tolerance’ approach to harm and abuse. All staff should be prepared to recognise and respond if they suspect this is occurring. By law, certain groups of people are protected by safeguarding legislation. At Musicfest we apply these principles to everyone whether or not they have additional protection in law.
If you have any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of anyone in the festival, please bring it to the attention of any member of staff.
We specifically ask that children under 15 and adults at risk are accompanied at all times by a responsible adult in all Musicfest venues and grounds.
The full safeguarding policy for Musicfest is available on request.
