Liz Exell first studied jazz at the Royal Academy of Music and did her undergraduate studies in jazz performance at Trinity Laban. After graduating she toured the UK, EU and USA with her early style jazz band ‘Old Hat’ and crossover band ‘Nerija’ both of whom have been broadcast for BBC TV and radio. She now has her own band based in Cardiff where she teaches at the RWCMD. Liz is also training as a music therapist.
