Fflur Wyn – Soprano

Aberystwyth Musicfest is thrilled to announce a new tutor for our prestigious vocal course.

Having already gained wide acclaim for her performances on the operatic stage as well as the concert platform, Welsh soprano Fflur Wyn has established herself as one of the country’s foremost singers. She was elected an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM) in recognition of her distinguished contribution to the music profession so far.

Fflur has performed with many leading opera companies including La Monnaie, Opera Comique, WNO, ENO, ROH, Opera North, Grange Park, the Göttingen, Potsdam and Aix en Provence Festivals, and most recently with the Royal Danish Opera. On the concert platform she has appeared with the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra,  BBC National Orchestra of Wales, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Academy of Ancient Music, and many ensembles throughout Europe. Fflur is a tutor on the National Youth Choir of Wales, and an experienced festival and competition adjudicator.

In the 2022/23 season, Fflur sings Euridice in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice on the Opera North concert tour, and also for Chelsea Opera Group, Handel’s Messiah with the Norwegian Wind Ensemble, and the role of 1st Niece Peter Grimes at Royal Danish Opera.
