Musicfest Aberystwyth are excited to launch CÔRus for its 2023 season, a performance and networking opportunity for a host of choirs from around Aberystwyth and wider Ceredigion to collaborate.

Coming together to create music and to sing is more important now than ever, and Musicfest are looking to pilot this opportunity for leisure-time choirs from across the county to join us as part of our 2023 International Music Festival. We propose a one-day rehearsal and performance day on Tuesday, 1 August 2023 at Aberystwyth Arts Centre, where our partner choirs will join to perform a work by Welsh choral superstar conductor and composer, Eilir Owen Griffiths.

With over 20 years’ experience in the music industry, Eilir Owen Griffiths has conducted choirs such as CF1, Côr Godre’r Garth, Côr y Drindod and The Cardiff Blues Choir, with whom he has attained considerable success in competitions and concerts around the World. He was Music Director at The Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod between 2011 and 2017 and is currently the Artistic Director of the Cardiff International Choral Festival. We are thrilled to invite him onto our creative team for 2023.

If you and your choir are interested in joining us this summer, then please take a look at the further information below and sign-up NOW.
