Distinguished clarinettist and academic, Professor Donald Oehler, from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, has made an exhaustive study of the genre of the clarinet quintet (clarinet and string quartet).

Aiding Professor Oehler will be fellow clarinettists David Campbell and Joseph Shiner and string quartets from both the Royal College of Music and Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. The Course will enable up to a dozen clarinettists to explore some of the vast repertoire for this ensemble, paying particular attention to the masterpieces by Mozart and Brahms. All students will get a performance opportunity in a showcase concert towards the end of the week.

All applicants should clarinets in both Bb and A with them
