Internationally renowned harpist Catrin Finch is one of the most accomplished harpists of her generation, and has been delighting audiences with her performances across the UK and worldwide since the age of five. We are thrilled to welcome her back to Aberystwyth for an exciting tour of repertoire from across the world.

About Catrin Finch

Internationally renowned harpist and composer Catrin Finch is one of the most accomplished harpists of her generation.

A childhood prodigy, Catrin studied under Elinor Bennett achieving the highest mark in the UK for her Grade 8 ABRSM exam at the age of nine. She studied at The Purcell School and the Royal Academy of Music with Skaila Kanga, graduating with the Queens Commendation for Excellence in 2002.  Catrin is the former Royal Harpist to H.R.H. the Prince of Wales. Holding the appointment from 2000-2004, she had the honour of reviving this ancient tradition last held in 1873 during Queen Victoria’s reign. Catrin has performed extensively throughout the USA, South America, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and Europe, both as a soloist, and appearing with many of the world’s top orchestras, and has recorded for many of the major international recording companies, including Universal Records, Deutsche Grammophon, EMI and Sony Classical, both solo and with notable artists such as Bryn Terfel, Sir James Galway and Julian Lloyd-Webber. Read more

Our 2021 Festival

Our 2021 festival is presented in a blended way to ensure that you can both experience MusicFest both in-person and from the comfort of your own home. Each of our events are listed as either in-person or online & streamed which means you will have a different viewing experience for each of our events. So, whether you want to book your place for a live event (limited capacity), book your cinema seat for a streamed event at Theatr y Werin at Aberystwyth Arts Centre, or we will send you special online access to enjoy one of our events on your TV, phone or tablet at home, please contact the Box Office on 01970 62 32 32 or visit, where you can also find the latest COVID-19 guidance.

Offers for young people and students

All of our live and streamed events at Aberystwyth Arts Centre are free for young people aged 18 and under, and students in full-time education. Please ensure you select the correct option at Box Office, and be prepared to show Student ID on arrival.
