MusicFest Junior Fellowship
The MusicFest Junior Fellows scheme is a professional development scheme available for a limited number of exceptional students to gain experience in performance and teaching.
The Junior Fellows will be expected to participate in a number of performances through the festival in Fringe and the main concert programme.
The Junior fellows will also be asked to assist on certain courses particularly the chamber ensemble courses and participate in masterclasses and workshops throughout the week.
In addition it is a key part of the Junior Fellows programme to provide mentorship to students in the summer school on all aspects of developing a career as an emerging musician.
Each year we will be developing the programme to increase numbers and range with a varying focus on which courses are supported by Junior Fellows.
We would expect Junior Fellows to be recent graduates with a strong performance CV with some experience of teaching. Junior Fellows in all areas of summer school activity are encouraged to apply.
Priority is given to students who have previously attended MusicFest International Summer School.
Recent Junior Fellows have included Solem Quartet, The Session, Josh Borin with MusicFest Wind Quintet, Seho Lee and Robert Scarmardella.
In addition MusicFest is seeking to develop Junior Fellow projects which offer engagement with cross disciplinary arts, cross platforms, new audiences and community.
To apply to this scheme please send a CV and a covering letter to firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in the engagement projects then please mention this and your areas of interest and experience in your covering letter. Please send on-line links to any available examples of your work.
